Disable day headlights

Toyota Tacoma 2002, 61,000 miles, 2400cc.

Is there a way to disable the headlight from coming on everytime the engine is started? I only want them to come one when I turn the switch on.

i am not 100% sure with your model, but usually on auto light cars there is a button that you can push 5 or so times and they should turn off. it is usually the light switch, dimmer, or guage illumination swiitch.

On the 2001 Tacomas there is a fuse for the daytime runnings lights. Check your owners manual for a similiar fuse and location. Remove fuse.
