2004 Toyota Pickup black smoke running rough

I am getting the worst fuel milage ever. When the trucks idles then I give it the fuel black smoke streams from the tail pipe the truck when driving sams to have a small miss. Help what could be the problem

Do you have a check engine light On or has flashed.

Rich mixture could be stuck in the open loop mode-being caused by the coolant temperature sensor or the snitcher oxygen sensor is not switching
