2001 Toyota Pickup V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 82k miles

left blinker stays on with turn switch in the neutral position. With right blinker on. Both blinkers are going. Occasionally flasher goes off in high speed bursts. Oddly blinkers behave normally in the ACC mode, problem only occurs with the vechicle running. Flasher costs $58 as does the signal switch. I would like to get it right the first time.

Hi walkercf,

No guarantte that you can get it right the first time because it might be two instead of one problem.

Pull out the signal switch wire connector and see if the left blinkers is still showing. I suspect the flasher unit to be faulty.
Most probably is contaminated with rust due to water entry.
