1999 Toyota Pickup Replace Broken Wheel Stud?

1999 Toyota Pickup 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

One of the lugs on the front of my 4WD 1999 Toyota Tacoma pickup is broken. Can I replace it by removing the brake caliper and pounding out the stud? Or do i need to remove the caliper?

Would appreciate any help... thanks!
