The problem started a while back but has gotten worse with time. You can be traveling down the road and when you depress the accellerator as to pick up more speed it acts as if it has a protect mode and decreases acceleration. And now it is in my yard and it cranks up and idles fine. But when you load up on the gas pedal it will not accelerate and then backfires in the manafold. Please help. I replaced the spark plugs about 60,000 miles but I have never replace the plug wires. Thanks

Hi scobra77,

I would suggest checking
1. Fuel pressure
2. Throttle position sensor
3. Plug cables.
