1999 Toyota Pickup clutch/transmission problems

I can be stopped, with the clutch in and in first gear, and it will pop out of gear. It will also pop out of third gear.
What is wrong and can I, an amateur, fix it?

Hi there,

make sure that the gear box is tight on the engine, check the gear shifter bush as well you may need your mechanic to do this. If theses ore OK, the fault will be deeper with in the gear box.
