I had a small drip of coolant that I thought was a bad thermostat gasket. I replaced the thermostat and gasket but it is still leaking pretty bad. It looks like it is in the area of the thermostat but I do not think it is coming from there. Is it my water pump and if so I got this replace at about 130,000 does it only last about 60,000 miles?

Hi there,

The first thing to do is get the system pressure tested to determine where the leak is actually coming from. Do this first.

It is hard to see from here. Post a pic and point it out and we may be able to better tell.
Pressure testing may make this easier as well as lights and dental mirrors.

It is entirely possibly that the pump went bad. The first pump didn't have to deal with older coolant and various piece of rust that may affect the seal of it. Unless you were religious about the flushes and it was done right, it is possible.
