when the engine reaches operating temperature, and I try to drive ,the engine dies. It is worse in reverse, it does it in drive, but not as bad. check engine light works , but has not ever came on. I have noticed a big decrease in fuel mileage since this started. What causes this?

second question--where are the OBD plugs located? I have found the onboard computer but can't find the plugs

When was the last major tune-up?

The Diagnostic Link Connector is in the engine compartment

Try checking the throttle position and mass airflow sensor-
