The thermostat froze closed and the radiator overheated and cracked. I replaced the radiator and the thermostat.
Overheating is still a problem. I removed thermostat and truck stays cool. I opened the radiator and water is moving (meaning water pump is working?). I replaced thermostat again with a new one and still overheats.
Could new radiator and thermostat be rated at different temps? Do I keep getting bad thermostats?

Try flushing your system. You may have a blockage in the heater core. Dont make the mistake of putting your thermostat in backwards, And yes can be done.

If you follow the upper radiator hose to engine, you would come to the thermostat housing, inside which is the thermostat.

The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing at the bottom radiator hose where it connects to the engine block.
