1990 Toyota Pickup alternator?

my trucks battery and brake light come on and go off and now they stay onall the time. I had my alternator tested and it tested good, now the voltage regulator is built into the alternator is it possible that is the voltage regulator is no good.I have also cleaned alot of connections

Hi there,

If the battery light is coming on, this is an indication that the alternator is not charging, the regulator is just part of this system, i would have the alternator tested when the light comes on, as it may be an intermittent problem at this stage,
