Starter wont turn.Its a new rebuilt.Lights dim to out after cpl min.Starter relay clicks.Jump direct from batt to starter clicks sol.Sometimes push starts, sometimes no.Clutch staret cancel wont stay on sometimes.
Brake peddle can kill it.Cleaned all grounds I can find.
Can turn signal/headlight multiswich be bad?Ignition
switch?Have 12 volts + @ starter and ignition switch.
Why cant I bypass and engage starter directly.Should I bench test new starter?Thanks for any HELP!
P.S. I have no creditcard, and a toyota manual ordered.....6 weeks

with it not starting i would first start with the battery. check it with hydrometer to see if it has a dead cell. try putting another battery that you know is good in the truck. see if it starts the truck if not then check the starter. I have seen even rebuilt starters being bad. With the reference to lights. have the altinator checked it might be not putting out enough voltage to keep the truck running and with the lights on they would be running off the battery that would also effect the starting
