1987 Toyota Pickup 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 330K miles

I am in the process of putting a new head on my Toyota 22R. My questions is this: When installing the new head gasket should I use any type of sealant (silicone etc) on the new head gasket. The manual says to use a liquid sealer at the front corners of the block but I was wondering if the rest of the gasket requires any type of sealer. Thanks.

Most if not all head gaskets come already coated with any sealer needed, do not add any, you can't apply it evenly enogh!
