Electrical problem
1978 Toyota Pickup 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
i have power going to the coil, but pick-up truck engine, while it cranks will not start. I removed the coil wire from the dustributor, cranked the engine, but not arcing from the coil distributor wire. Besides the obvious n/g coil, is there any way to test the coil while still in the engine, or does it have to be removed to test.
thank you

Dunno the resistances for the coil -remove both positive and negative wire from coil-measure the primary side by reading the positive and negative terminals of the coil should read less than 1 ohm. Secondary readings measure the negative terminal and the center coil tower readings should be less than 18K ohms
