1978 Toyota Pickup coil and plugs

1978 Toyota Pickup 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have power going to the coil, but pick-up truck engine, while it cranks will not start. I removed the coil wire from the dustributor, cranked the engine, but not arcing from the coil distributor wire. Besides the obvious n/g coil, is there any way to test the coil while still in the engine, or does it have to be removed to test.
