transmission fluid

i have a 1988 toyota 4wd standard pkup,5spd,187,000 miles efi that all the sudden..(started yesterday)wouldnt go into gear eaisly,then today wouldnt go in at all w/out slamin n hurtin my hand to get home,then w/clutch floored still stays in gear enuf to cause engin to die if brake is held stoplite etc.any way yesterday felt as if no fluid was in trans..........when do i locate trans.fluid cap?

If you look on the firewall in the engine compartment, adjacent to where the clutch pedal is in the cab, the master cylinder for the clutch should be there. There is a stop bolt on the pedal side that is adjustable.
