radiator pressure

why is it that after my tacoma has been on for awhile i can remove the radiator cap and there is no pressure coming from the radiator.

My guess is that there is a leak somewhere and it might be on the verge of cracking. You probably need to take it to a cooling systems expert to get it checked out (probably as soon as possible). Have you changed or repaired the radiator within the last 2 years or so?
