Oxygen sensor

How often should we change the oxygen sensors. Some say toyoto sensors seldom fails but other says it should be a part of regular maintenance. Should they be change with the timing belt like after ever 100000 km.

the computer should tell you when they fail...
(check engine light)
never heard about to replace them as a regular maintenance.
