I took in my 2003 Toyota Matrix for 60,000 mile service. The technician stated the clutch was slipping in fourth gear and needed to be replaced. I paid $1300 for this replacement. A week later I was driving and suddenly was unable to shift into second gear. Within about 10 minutes I was also unable to shift into 4th gear and reverse.

The car was towed to the dealer today and I will talk with them tomorrow, but I'd really like a second opinion before I do any more major work on the car.

Thank you. I can be reached at karen.seif@gmail.com

My opinion they didn't do the clutch job correctly-have them check the clutch master cylinder/clutch slave/free play and pedal height
