The Check Engine light came on a couple of times recently with a code that indicated "running too lean". I cleared the codes myself, but just yesterday found that whoever changed my oil the last time left one clip for my air filter unlatched.

Is it possible that this would cause the car to run too lean?

Thanks

Hi there,

Leaving a clip loose will not cause the engine to run lean, you say you cleared the code, has it re set? if not leave well enough alone, otherwise check for a perished or cracked vacuum line as a starting place.
