Hi there,
The thermostat is designed to enable the engine to teach normal operating temp as soon as possible, sensors will detect lower engine temps and adjust settings accordingly, the engine is designed to run at a given temp the reasons for this are many, but in short, even in tropical climates i would advise you to keep the thermostat installed and if over heating problems exist, treat the problem and not the symptoms.
