1995 Other Toyota Models loud squeaky speedometer cable

Is there any way to stop a speedometer from squeaking? It sounds like a fan belt inside of my cab. To replace it costs $150.00.

Hi there,

You have to be careful with trying any type of lubricant on the inner cable, as the natural action is for it to wind to the pot and it can damage speedo heads, safe option, new or good second hand cable.
