Engine Performance problem
1993 Toyota MR2 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 100K miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
EMIT BLUE SMOKE IDLE ON UP OR DOWN HILL
but no smoke idle of level road

Compression check the engine, blue smoke is oil burning...if compression is good, valve stem seals could be gone...

compression check was ok and valve stem seals replaced tha this problems still occurs. mechanic says its turbo problems ?

So it only burns oil during a boost? Then turbo would be suspect!

blue smoke not on boost but on idle and going up at up and down slope
