2005 Toyota Matrix compressor strats and stop

buyng matrix 2005 A/C 1.8 litr

outside temperature +5C

when A/C is on comressor does not work all the
time , it start, works for 10-15 secinds ,stop for ~30 sec ,then start again

I tested side by side Matrix 2009 2.4 litres
when A/C is on compressor works all the time

Diller did not find any problem and claims
it is normal at cold weather

as long as you feel cold air coming from the vents you got nothing to worry about. The compressor clutch might cycle on/off when it is low on refrigerant.
