2003 Toyota Matrix Tire and wheels size

I had a 2003 toyota matirx basic modle, currently put a 18 inch Rim with 225/40/18 tire which thats what they recommend, I was wondering if I could't put 225/45/18 for the tires, cause 40 looks lil bit small. if I put 225/45/18 will it affect the speed meter ??

Please help me out

Yes, you can use the 225/45 with the wheels. Won't cause any issue with the speedo.
