Transmission problem
1988 Toyota Landcruiser 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive

OWNER SAYS 5TH GEAR JUMPS OUT,SAYS A PIN IN GATE NEEDS REPLACING COULD THIS BE EXPENSIVE.ALSO WOULD A A/M TURBO BE BENEFICIAL TO THIS 2H ENGINE.KMS ON ENGINE ARE 130,000 ON A REBUILD COSTING 6000.

Ok this maybe expensive it may not it just depends on what it found once in the trans. It may need a total rebuild couldn't say but you need to expect the worst and if that isn't the case then great. As for the turbo it depends on why you want to install it. If it is for power and you don't mind spending the money on it then go for it. With 130000 on the engine however I would plan on a rebuild before putting a turbo on it and inducing that much pressure to the pistons. Hope this is what you where looking for. If not then ask away.
