I teach Mechanics at a high school in Calgary Alberta ,and I was asked by the owner of the above listed vehicle if if the power steering fliud needs to be checked on this hybrid vehicle. He was told by a lube store that it is electric.I thought that the electric pump drives a hydraulic pump.Which is it and where is the reservoir? Thanks Don R. Morgan

Hi there,

I have exhausted all search options i have and all i can find is power steering fluid is Dextron 111. To top up if low, now i believe it is an electric system, but where the reservoir is i just don't know. The only thing i can tell you is it does not use the transmission oil as the trans uses a special oil again. So there must be a reservoir there somewhere.
