2001 Toyota Highlander No oil....Engine is shaking

Engine Performance problem
2001 Toyota Highlander 4 cyl All Wheel Drive 120000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My car stated shaking really bad. I drove 8 miles because I had the kids in the car. My husband got home and looked at it and the dipstick was dry and had some burned oil on it. He added 4 qts of oil to it. Can this be driven to the dealership which is about 25 miles from my house or should it be towed. Thanks

If there's no engine noise you could-but if you hear strange noises I recommend tow.
