1985 Toyota Highlander air in my fuel line

1985 Toyota Highlander 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

Im not sure if Highlander is the correct car for me, Im in Australia and i have a Toyota Hilux, Diesel 2.4 2L engine and i think i have got air in my fuel lines, i have recently done a service on it and afterwards its not starting , it wants to but wont run smoothly or just wont turn over at all, if any help can be provided at all it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

These hi-lux's are self bleeding , but what you have to do is pump the primer on the fuel filter, (large round button type head) until it becomes rather firm, if it still will not start, you will have to check the fuel shut off solenoid on the side of the injection pump, there should be power with the ignition on, if you unplug it you should hear it click.
