1985 Toyota Corona fuel pump

hi i have replaced the gaskets and it took a few weeks to finish, i had to dissconect the fuel lines to the pump and after a few weeks its all run dry. my fuel pump was working fine before but now it just will not suck the fuel into the carbie. i have sucked fuel into the pump but it still runs dry.

Check the camshaft lobe that turns the fuel pump might be worned out
