I have a 85 toyota corolla GTS twin cam. White smoke comes out when I step on gas above 5 grand. Not too heavy disapears right away..doesnt linger. I also noticed that when I warm up the car from the exhaust there are little traces of oil from the exhaust on the cement. I went to a shop and a mechanic opened my oil cap when the car was running and said the air isnt suppose to be blowing out continuously out the oil cap area like that. He said that I have a "blow by" Do you know if that is correct. The car still runs strong. thank you

I am the new Toyota moderator losone;

It isn't healthy to rev a static GTS Twin Cam to 5 grand. It isn't the initial rev but the down RPM that causes problems but the millisecoond of 0 torque that could throw pieces parts outside of the engine.

If the power is applied on an old engine, the same applies to backing off. The white smoke issue is usually asociated with loosing coolant. Stop after the white smoke, smell the exhaust and see if smells like coolant. Good Luck
