Gas smell

I have a Toyota Corolla, and I have it parked in the garage, and it has a strong gas smell after just sitting for a while. Can you help me out here?

Its that a fuel injection or carburator?

I had a 83 toyota tersel had the same problem, checked the fuel tank vent line, it was rusted through, allowing fumes inside car. Hope this helps you
