2010 Toyota Corolla KREX Additive

I recently bought a Toyo Corolla. Toyota is pushing this oil additive called Krex. What's the lowdown on this product? Is it worth the $150 that they want for an oil change but warrant the car against engine problems as long as the Krex is used. What is your take on this product?

Hi there,

You will have full engine warranty with out any additive being used, i would not let them put it in, if in doubt ring Toyota customer support and get the official word, i think this is a local dealer pushing this product.

Yes, it costs about $5 and they charge you $150.

My dealership isn't pushing it and I've never heard of it, must be local.

Not adding it would not affect you warranty.
