Try cleaning out the idle air control valve and also check if it has an idle up solenoid its purpose is to increase the idle speed due to the AC load, also check the charging system-alternator might not be compensating for the additional electrical load from the compressor magnetic clutch

As RAZ mentoned these have an idle up solenoid, that increases idle for high load items like AC.
The other problem could be a bad compressor/clutch.
