2009 Toyota Corolla Maintenance Required Light

This came on and according to the manual means you need to change the oil. We changed the oil and the light still remains on, we did what the book says to have the light go off clearing the trip meter. The light still remains on. Can you tell us what we need to do to get the light to go off. Thanks
