hi. i accidently put in about 2 gallons of diesel gas in my unleaded only car.. i wasn't paying attention until i drove for about 3-4 miles then i noticed something went wrong so the car stopped working and i was lucky i could pull over to the side...

what is the cheapester way for me to get it to work? i heard if i fill up the tank with unldeaded fuel then the diesel will eventually dilute? please help! brand new car and i really need this car for school!

Hi there,

fill up with fuel change the filter it should only be a bit smoky and the power will be down, but to do this properly you will need to flush the tank off all fuel , this will need to be done by a mechanic as there is no tank drain point.
