This car just ceased running and had to be driven to the curb. Plenty of fuel, engine cranks at normal speed, but will not restart.

Hi there.
The first thing to do is run a scan to see if there are any set fault codes. Check for spark & fuel pressure. Your dealer will be able to do this if you don't have the knowledge.
