I am getting a whisling noisecoming from the engine compartment but I can only hear it when parked next to somethingto reflect sound and my windows are down, It only happens when transmission is in drive . It does not do it in P,R or N. Could something be wrong with my transmission? It works perfectly fine in all regards otherwise. fluid level is correct and red and clear. Please advise. can I hurt my car by continuing to drive it?

If engine oil is full and trans is full, it is likely a vacuum leak, perhaps a vacuum switching valve leaking.

Vacuum leaks can affect air/fuel ratio, but will also set a an error code.

While I don't think you are doing any harm, it will probably get worse. If under warranty (powertrain) have Toyota look at it.
