2007 Toyota Corolla noise from rear

when driving at highway speeds, I hear a whining noise coming from the rear, it increases and decreases in volume as I slow down / speed up.

Dealer has replaced the transmission twice! but the noise still exists

Does it seem to change pitch if you vere left or right?
May be a wheel bearing going bad.
