2006 Toyota Corolla Transmission Problem??

I had a whirrling noise in my car and had new tires put on, new brakes, then checked transmission, tire rod checked. They then said it was the transmission. Put in a new one or I am not sure a reconditioned one, then same problem occurred, so they put in another transmission and guess what same problem. Now they are calling Toyota to see if they will put in another transmission either a refurbished one or a new one. I asked them for a new one but how will I know if they did put in a new one or a refurbished. I really don't know where to go from here. Help
