I recently put the wrong fuel in my car. I put about a half of tank of E85 in my car. I didn't but my wife did. Now car engine light came on. She drove the car for about 40 miles before the light came on. How much will it cost the repair the problems that will or already occurred due to that problem.

I think you will be OK for the most part. I would siphon all the E85 out and put regular gas in it. You will have to see after that. It may have damaged the convertor, O2 sensor(s).

It may tend to deterioate rubber, aluminum and magnesium parts if used alot.

The engine light is probably a lean condition since ethanol does not have the energy of gasoline.
