Hi,

I just bought a used car, and after I drived more than 1.5 hours continually, I found the cooling fan made a loud noise from time to time, especially in a quiet place, such as in garage. I'm just wondering this is a problem or it is normally for my car. Thanks.

Cooling fans on newer Toyota's are usually very quiet. Remove fan assy. and check the fan blade for loosness. Also check for any debris near fan blade or bent shroud.

If blade is OK, then the fan motor may be going bad and would need to be replaced.
