When our 05 corolla is at idle or when we are driving at low speeds, the engine is very sluggish, also we notice that the headlights and tailights will dim when we let our foot off of the accelorator, and will brighten back up when we push on the gas. What kind of electrical problems could we have? Thanks.

Engine idle speed should be around 900rpm, if below that then it is most likely an IAC (idle air control) valve is dirty/sticking.

If idle speed is OK, then have charging system tested at most autoparts stores for free.
