Can I change the battery, without doing any harm? The owners manual states that a professional should do it. Why?

Hi there,

you can charge the battery, just un do both terminals and charge, when charged, fit Pos terminal first and do this with key out, remember that you will loose memory, a simple memory saver can be purchased at most auto stores, this just uses a 9V battery and plugs into the cig lighter.
