I hear a grinding or scraping when driving down the road. Its louder when i turn the wheel. Its sounds like its coming from the front driver side wheel. I just had the brake pads and roaters replaced on the front. That is what my mechanic said was wrong with it; he was wrong. Any ideas?

Hi jlncrosby,

Check if the backing/cooling plates are too near or touching the rotor, especially at lower end near ball joint. If they are, use screwdriver to push them away and job is done. If that seems okay I would replace the front wheel bearing hubs.

This video (similar car) should help with instructions on how to fix the problem on your car in the images below.
