I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla automatic with 38,000 miles and the car runs great. When should I change the transmission fluid or do I even need to have it changed? The the dip stick label states no need to change under normal driving conditions; which I drive.(The car shifts fine) Best Regards, Guy

Yes the trans. Fluid has no scheduled maint. Change (if driven under normal driving conditions).

Just change oil every 3,000-5,000 miles, change/flush coolant every two years (use Toyota coolant ONLY), inspect belts, hoses every year, change air filter every year.

Look for any fluid leaking (puddles/drips) when you park car.

Only other maint. Is to change plugs every 100K use Denso/NGK Iridium.

Check your owners manual maint. Schedule for more info.
