I,ve recently added customized rims to my car. They are 17 inch rims. I understand they are oversized but it was a suprise gift and i am trying to find a solution. At around 70 miles per hour my steering wheel shakes back and forth from left to right. Initially i was told that the spacers where not added to the rims. I got a wheel alignment and when i asked to get a wheel balance i was told they could not do it without the spacers. Would rebalancing my tires do the trick?. Thank you for your help.

The wheels need to be balanced, take the car to a local tire shop, and have them do a static balancing on all four wheels, this places the balancing weights on the inside of the rims where they will not interfere with the appearance of the wheels, any tire shop should have the neccesary balancing cones to fit your custom wheels, without the need for spacers, hope this helps
