My belt seems to make noise when the weather is cold or wet. I sprayed some 'belt dressing' but that did not seem to help for very long. This is the original belt. The belt looks fine. Am I correct that the belt is the issue or could it be a pulley? Should the belt be replaced as it is 6 years old?

my belt is 22 years old on one of my vehicles, still good. getting a little squeaky now that its about as loose as it can get on the tensioner.

if thers no missing ribs and its within the proper limits then you can keep using it, the belt may be a bit glazed or not prperly tightened.
