WHEN I TURN ON THE AC THE CAR SEEM TO LOSE EXCESSIVE POWER. THE ENGINE SPUTTERS A BIT AND THE REV COUNTER GOES UP TO 5RPM WHEN I ACCLERATE, BUT THERE IS NO PULLING POWER. COULD THE AC BE ROBBING THE ENGINE OF POWER? COULD IT BE THE AC COIL GONE BAD?

Could be the alternator not maintaining the addidtional load from the AC or an idle up solenoid not increasing the rpm to compensate for the AC load
