I just noticed some intermittent griding noise coming from the front of my vehicle when I use the breaks. This doesn't happen all the time just every ten to twenty times I use the brakes. What does that mean?

Check the front brake pads they are probably worn out and making metal to metal contact with the rotor.
Fix quickly before you have to buy new rotors.
