How hard is it to replace the IAC Valve on a toyota corolla. Will the check engine light go on when it is replaced?

It bolts to throttle body. You should always disconnect the negative battery cable to change any sensor.

The PCM will relearn the correct setting (or steps) after a few miles. You should not get a check engine light, unless you forget to reconnect the harness.
